General Practice Information

Parndon Mill
The Wakefield Poyser Partnership was formed in 1984 by the two current senior partners, Jerry Wakefield Dipl. Arch. ( UNL ) RIBA and Jeremy Poyser MBIAT. Both individuals had worked in the same Architect's Department in Local Government for approximately 12 years. Each held senior positions before embarking into private practice.
The partnership is situated at Parndon Mill, near Harlow. This location provides good road and rail links with the Southeast of England where the current workload is based.
The wide experience and skills that have been built up since the early years of the partnership is now available to our Clients providing a very efficient and flexible service in an increasingly diverse and technological industry. Legislation is constantly changing within the building industry together with that of the client base. Many architectural practices have decided to specialise in a particular field or provide only partial services to their clients. At Wakefield Poyser we take the view that it is essential to provide effective project management. This can only be achieved if the practice completes a project from inception to completion. Therefore, it has always been a partnership principle that each commission undertaken will receive a professional service in as many disciplines as possible.

The office
The practice has a busy and varied work load and provides a range of professional services in the housing; healthcare; education; commercial; and leisure sectors. Our client base include private individuals; voluntary sector organisations to corporate bodies and local authorities.
We have a sister partnership, WPP Management that works in the Healthcare Sector assisting Residential and Nursing Homes. This provides a professional service on current operations to the inception of new projects. In more recent times this work has included advise on the closure of establishments set against recent sector trends. This expertise is partially based upon the partners of Wakefield Poyser Partnership wholly owning and operating a residential adult care home in Hertfordshire for 48 service users.
